The Sixteenth Street Baptist Church today on Google Maps.

Today, opposite the Church is the Civil Rights Institute. Kelly Ingram Park, site of a number of demonstrations in 1963, is located near the Church.

Fountain Heights, the neighborhood that came to be known as Dynamite Hill, is northwest of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church.

The “A” marks the location of the A. C. Gaston Motel.

The “A” marks the North Birmingham neighborhood where Robert Chambliss lived in 1963. The Sixteenth Street Baptist Church is near the intersection of I-59 and I-65. Elizabeth Cobbs heard the blast in her mother’s North Birmingham home on Sunday, September 15, 1963.
